A quirky health public announcement animation to raise awareness of the benefits of consuming a little less sugar every day made with the George Institute for Global Health.

We all know we need to consume less sugar. But it’s difficult to kick the habit! Rather than stress or shame people into consuming less sugar, the George Institute for Global Health wants to encourage Fijians to reduce their intake by reducing sugar over time and developing healthier habits.

Knowing tea is one of the ways that most Fijians consume a lot of sugar, we tell a comedic cautionary tale as we watch Jone meet all the potential health issues that come with a high-sugar diet.

We expect the humour and relatability of these experiences will bring the message of 'less sugar' to the forefront of the viewer's mind while leaving them with feelings of amusement and empowerment. Ultimately the thought should be: "Yeah! I can do a little less sugar every day."

The video was made for Facebook and social dissemination with the George Institute, Fiji National University, C-POND and the Fiji Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
